HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - Two men who entered a home, threatened the residents and demanded cash with a handgun on Saturday morning were arrested.
The incident happened just after 8 a.m. in the 200 block of W. 14th Street in Holland.
The victims told police that the two men entered their home, and they were not able to give any cash to the suspects, which resulted in one of the suspects assaulting one of the victims.
Police said the suspects then fled the scene after taking a large-screen television.
The victims gave police a description of the getaway vehicle. One of the victims also provided the name of one of the suspects from having met him a week earlier.
Then around 8:42 a.m., officers from the South Haven Police Department and Allegan County Sheriff's Office stopped the suspects' vehicle on I-196 near South Haven.
There were four males inside the vehicle, and the victims identified the two suspects who committed the robbery.
The suspects -- a 20-year-old Holland resident and a 21-year-old Illinois resident -- were taken into custody in connection to the robbery.
The handgun used in the crime and the stolen television were found in the vehicle.
The victim who was assaulted, a 20-year-old Holland resident, was treated and released at Holland Hospital after suffering minor injuries during the crime.
