DETROIT (AP) - A published report says former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick isexpected to be named to a job in Texas with Covisint, a subsidiaryof software and technical services company Compuware Corp.
The Detroit Free Press, citing a person familiar with thearrangement that it didn't name, reports Thursday that CompuwareChairman Peter Karmanos was preparing to announce the hiring laterin the day.
Messages seeking comment were left before regular business hoursThursday for Detroit-based Compuware and Covisint.
The 38-year-old Kilpatrick returned to Detroit on Mondayfollowing a job-hunting trip to Texas. He spent 99 days in theWayne County jail after pleading guilty to perjury and othercharges and was released Feb. 3 and traveled to the Dallas areathat day.
