KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Investigators from the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET)busting a meth lab in the 2100 block of Golfview Drive in KalamazooFriday.
KVET got a search warrant as part of an on-going investigationinto the manufacturing and distribution of methamphetamine at theresidence.
They entered the home just before 4:30 p.m. Once inside,investigators found an active meth lab in the basement. They alsofound methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and numerousprescription pills.
The 38-year-old man living at the residence had a felony warrantand was arrested for it and additional charges.
Charges for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession ofmethamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana,and possession of cocaine will be submitted to the Kalamazoo CountyProsecutor’s Office for review pending lab analysisresults.
A 36-year-old man from Vicksburg was arrested on two felonywarrants for probation violation and additional charges forpossession of methamphetamine will be sought.
Investigators found a large amount of meth making componentsthroughout the residence and called a private contractor to removethe hazardous waste.
The Kalamazoo County Health Department was also notified andwill conduct further testing at the property.
