Harmony Brewing Co. to expand in Eastown

Marvis Herring - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – A popular West Michigan brewery has purchased more space and plans to expand its services.

24 Hour News 8 confirmed that the owners of Harmony Brewing Company bought the former Subway restaurant building near Wealthy St. and Lake Dr. in Eastown.

Heather Van Dyke, one of the owners, said they they've budgeted at least $500,000 for the expansion.

"Gaining some space and then being able to add that delivery component is the reason why we're doing it," said Van Dyke.

Employees for the company say the new purchase means more than added space. Harmony Brewing employees are brainstorming new services they will potentially offer, including pizza and beer delivery.

Van Dyke said that they are still working with architects right now.

No date has been set for the new building to open.
