GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman was taken to the hospital Saturday night after she was hit by an SUV.
The crash happened around 8 Saturday night on 28th Street, between Madison and Division.
Grand Rapids Police officers told our crew at the scene a husband and wife were crossing 28th Street when an SUV approached. The driver tried to avoid hitting the man, but ended up hitting the woman. She was taken to the hospital.
Neither the driver, nor the man was injured.
That portion of 28th Street was shutdown, but has reopened.
Is tonight the night? Maybe it's tomorrow. Or even Sunday.
Two other people, who were inside the residence at the time, escaped safely.
