MORIOKA, Japan (NBC/NTV) - A zoo in Japan received a special delivery.
Inside the oversized box on Thursday was a 5-year-old giraffe.
Workers transported the giraffe, named Yuzu, from Tokyo to Morioka Zoo in northern Japan.
The journey is more than 300 miles and took 14 hours to complete.
Zookeepers hope Yuzu, a female, will mate with a male giraffe they already have at the zoo. They say their first encounter went well.
Yuzu goes on display at the zoo on Saturday.
