JELGAVA, Latvia (NBC/RTV) - Boats made of milk cartons were at the center of an unusual race in Latvia throughout the weekend.
Dozens of boats made of empty milk cartons were built for the race at a festival in Central Latvia.
Each team got up to 1,000 empty cartons and then let their imaginations run wild as they put their craft together.
The only rules are that the boat has to be human powered and, of course, it has to stay afloat.
Prizes were given out for the most attractive boat and the most innovative.
It was the 11th edition of the race.
