GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOOD) - Obesity is a huge problem in our country and has been linked to several other huge health concerns including diabetes, high cholesterol, and cardiovascular disease. Obesity has now been classified as a disease, and currently 35.7% of Americans are considered obese, but treatments for obesity are very limited. Mercy Health Saint Mary's is hosting a Walk from Obesity that will raise money to expand obesity related public health initiatives.
