GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Every week we talk about In the Image and our Take Action Tuesdays. Right now, there's an opportunity to give that you might not realize. At In the Image, beat up shoes are recycled into revenue to buy new shoes for elementary students, old clothes become a new wardrobe for refugees and unused appliances and furniture help a single mom turn an empty apartment into a home. Donated suits and ties change somebody who is jobless into someone who can confidently enter the workforce. The staff at "In The Image" witnesses these transformations every day. And in 2013 they hope to take the S.H.O.E.S. program to a whole new level. This year, more than 9,000 children received help through the program. In 2013, the goal is to make a difference in the lives of 12,000 kids! But to do this, In the Image needs to buy a lot of shoes and to start shopping now. As you consider year end donations, remember In The Image for your cash and item donations. You can find them online at www.intheimage.org , or give them a call at 616-456-6150. It's time to dig through those closets and see if you have anything you can donate.
