GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Recharge your love for fiber arts with a course in Tangible Textiles at the GRAM Studio and take home a terrific tote! For three weeks in July, you will learn the creative process and techniques employed for generations by fiber artists in putting together wearable works of art. Guests of all skill levels will experience contemporary quilting, a process inspired by The Improvisational Quilts of Susana Allen Hunter as featured on eightWest. The course is geared toward New adult learners 21 and up. It takes place Tuesdays, July 16, 23 and 30 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.. The cost is $90 for Grand Rapids Art Museum members and $110 for non-members. All materials are included and you will get your own hand-made tote bag, created by you, to take home.
