The Villa Maria philosophy is to encourage residents to continue the activities of a lifetime in an environment of support and comfort. Programs offered include exercise classes, arts and crafts, musical entertainment, bingo and dance lessons.
Any Villa Maria resident can join in on the dance lessons that meet 2-3 times a week. The group also performs dance routines through out the community at other retirement centers and community events. Rachael Ruiz caught up with the Villa Maria dancer as they prove being active, doesn't need to stop at a certain age.
