GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Jazz will fill the air on Monday nights from June 3 - August 12 at Jazz at the Zoo. Join the free fun with the whole family. For the 13th year, the West Michigan Jazz Society is holding Jazz at the Zoo , eleven free performances throughout the summer. The series starts June 3 and continues every Monday to August 12. The shows begin at 6:30 p.m. and end around 8:30 p.m.. This year's lineup includes the Northview High School Jazz Band, the Paul VornHagen Quartet, The Tom Hagen Summer Swingers, Max Colley III Sextet, Randy Marsh Quintet, Fred Knapp Quintet, and many others. Celebrate the warm summer evenings with smooth jazz to finish off your day. Watch for weather updates and possible cancelations each week by 4 p.m. on the West Michigan Jazz Society facebook page. There is no charge to attend the events, but a hat will be passed and donations are greatly appreciated and will go toward jazz scholarships and educational pursuits for future muscians.
