GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOOD) - Hundreds of runners came out to light up the night in the first Glow in the Park 5K. The night time run at Millennium Park gleamed with florescent colors, black lights and runners sporting glowing paint. It was all in support for the Family Hope Foundation of West Michigan .
Throughout the 5K, runners braved a sea of foam and painted themselves in fluorescent war paint. More than 50 volunteers were scattered throughout the park shooting streams of glowing water as participants ran by/ Even the finish line was glowing.

750 runners participated in the run with more than 50 volunteers rolling up their sleeves to help the cause. Money raised will help approximately 22,600 people served through the Family Hope Foundation.
The Family Hope Foundation is a unique organization in West Michigan that helps special needs children and their families with financial assistance, therapy, and scholarship programs.
