GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A brand new Boys and Girls Club is open in Grand Rapids! After three years closed, the Paul I. Phillips Recreation Center has been recently renovated with more than a million dollars in repairs and upgrades. It's now safe place for young people to exercise their bodies and minds. It costs just $5 for a young person to be a member at the club for a whole year! It's open to students from first through twelfth grades and starting June 18, a lunch and snack will be provided to kids at the club as well. The Paul I. Phillips Recreation Club is the third center run by the Boys and Girls clubs of Greater Grand Rapids Youth Commonwealth, an organization that also runs the popular Camp O'Malley.
