GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOOD) - A couple of years ago eightWest took you way off limits when Joy Walczak traveled to Havanna, Cuba! The trip was full of spectacular sites and unforgettable images of a place that seemed in some ways to stop in time, but the mission was very real and the need so present. Joy was with First Hand Aid, a group that brings much needed medical supplies and help to hospitalized kids in Cuba. First Hand Aid also brought the baseball team from Grand Valley State University there, to help out and play some baseball. Their experiences of the trip included baseball at the international level, an educational experience of culture and diversity, and helping people along with First Hand Aid. There's also a documentary about the baseball team's trip to Havana in the works. Click here to view a preview of, "A Lesson in Diplomacy".
