GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Did you know that cardiovascular disease is projected to be the leading cause of death for adult men and women through 2030? It's a scary statistic, but one that can be changed for the better.
Fred and Lena Meijer knew the importance of research in preventing cardiovascular diseases when they decided to create the Frederik Meijer Heart & Vascular Institute, a place transforming patient care through state of the art treatments. Every effort being undertaken at the Institute offers new hope to patients and their families.
In order for the Institute to continue to thrive, the community support is needed. Later this month, the Spectrum Health Foundation is hosting their annual gala to benefit the Institute. The theme this year is "To Live and Flourish" and proceeds all proceeds will go to support research at Spectrum Health Frederik Meijer Heart & Vascular Institute.
