INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Graham Rahal is giving fans a chance to design the helmet he'll wear in the IndyCar Series season finale.
The helmet design contest will be run through Aug. 8 by the Graham Rahal Foundation. Fans can access a pre-made helmet template and create their own design.
Rahal will select the top five designs and put them to a vote on the foundation Web site. The winning design will be painted by Art Rotondo. Rahal will use it in the Sept. 15 finale.
He'll then auction the helmet at Celebrity.eBay to raise money for the charities supported by the Graham Rahal Foundation.
Rahal used last year's season finale helmet to start the Dan Wheldon Memorial Auction, which raised more than $600,000 following Wheldon's death in the race on Oct. 16.
