Crew members with Haitian roots motivate shipmates

ABOARD THE USS BATAAN (WAVY) - While the USS Bataan takes on Marines and supplies in North Carolina for their relief mission in Haiti, the sailors operate with a sense of urgency. 

The Bataan has sailors with Haitian roots onboard, and that makes their assignment even more personal.

WAVY-TV video journalists Art Kohn and Jeff Meyers are embedded on the USS Bataan and will be filing regular reports as the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship travels to Haiti to provide humanitarian and disaster relief.
