CORINTH, Maine (AP) — Police say a homeless 19-year-old called 911 and asked to be arrested after allegedly breaking into a convenience store in Corinth.

Officers did as Donald Page of Corinth asked and arrested him on felony burglary and theft charges stemming from the break-in at the A.E. Robinson store Monday. The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office tells the Bangor Daily News Page took some energy drinks, Slim Jims and cigarettes after breaking in, then returned to the store, called 911 and said, "Come get me."

Store manager Lynette Kroemer says her heart ached when she saw the condition of the burglar on the store's video surveillance cameras.

The News says Page pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of misdemeanor theft, agreed to pay $31 in restitution and serve 30 days in jail.
