(KTVT/CNN) — A Texas man got pulled over for a traffic violation and said what happened next restored his faith.
When a local police officer pulled 25-year-old Hayden Carlo over for an expired registration sticker, Carlo told the officer he didn't have an explanation for why he hadn't gotten it renewed, other than he didn't have the money.
"I said it was either feed my kids, or get this registration done," Carlo said.
Carlo couldn't believe what happened next. The officer wrote him a citation and included something else along with it.
"I opened it up and there's a $100 bill," Carlo said. "I broke down in my car what else can you do?"
The officer doesn't want to be identified, but his coworkers plan to honor him anyway.
