GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Two stroller companies are recalling a total of three stroller models, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Peg Perego USA Inc. recalled 223,000 strollers in two models after a 6-month-old was strangled to death in 2004 when his head became trapped between the seat and the tray of the stroller.
A 7-year-old was nearly strangled in the stroller in 2006 when her head became trapped in the same way.
The strollers being recalled are the Peg Perego Venezia and Pliko-P3, which were manufactured between January 2004 and September 2007.

Kolcraft Enterprises, Inc. is also recalling a tandem stroller model because of fall and choking hazards. About 5,600 Contours Options LT Tandem Strollers are being recalled.
The stroller's front wheel assembly can break, which may cause a fall. The company received six reports of this happening.
Also, strollers manufactured between January and February 2012 use screws that children may choke on. The company received two reports of this happening.
No injuries were reported in any cases.
