Michigan Works! changes its focus

State agency now focuses on employers

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Joel Westmaas from Ottawa County Michigan Works! stopped by "24 Hour News 8 Daybreak" Monday morning to talk about the agency's new focus -- being "demand-driven."

The agency used to consider the unemployed as its clients. But in recent years, it has made an effort to fill the needs of employers.
