GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - It's the holiday season once again, which means shoppers are battling long lines and crazy crowds for low prices.

This year, a holiday shopper's best friend could be their smartphone.

Customers can use various apps to compare local and national prices and get alerts on special offers.
