More than a thousand people sit down to meals every year at the Community Action House of Holland. That's compared to 200 - 300 people just a few short years ago.
The ministry, which has served the Ottawa County area for more than forty years, says it's seen a "major" increase in the number of assisted families and indivudals over the past year in particular. Community Action House Executive Director Mark Tucker says the increase is "undoubtedly" directly related to the downturn in the economy.
