The food pantry that serves the Cutlerville area is helping more and more middle-class, unemployed families these days. “We have seen a large number of people coming to our pantry who may not have otherwise used a food pantry before the economy took a turn for the worse,” said Steve Gibson of Byron Community Ministries. Already this year, the pantry has seen a 15 to 20 percent increase in the number of people seeking help. Historically, Byron Community Ministries has assisted an average of 3,000 individuals and 1500 families every year.
