GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Throughout May, the community helped WOOD TV and Spartan stores with the Christmas in May campaign, which purchased and distributed basic necessities to neighbors in need.
The goal was to collect items not available to families in food pantries, such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, toilet paper, shampoo and diapers.
But now, the team at 24 Hour News 8 is taking the campaign one step further: Your Money, Your Neighbor, Your Turn.
WOOD TV employees continued the tradition of giving by loading up bags of the eight essential items and delivering them to additional households in need.
We encourage you to do the same. Here are further instructions.
