GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - As the Christmas in May campaign nears the finish on Wednesday, a number of area pantries will stop by WOOD TV8 to pick up some of your donations.
From Grand Rapids, the New Life Church, New Era Christian Reform Church, St. Paul Church on Eastern, from Ionia County, the Christian Food Pantry of Eastern Ionia; from Kalamazoo, the 7th Day Adventist Church Pantry, the Greenville Area Ecumenical Food Mission and the Central Montcalm Community Church will all be gathering some of your early donations.
The culmination of the campaign comes Wednesday, when WOOD TV8 will be at six locations throughout West Michigan.
24 Hour News 8 will provide live broadcasts on 24 Hour News 8, WOTV4 and woodtv.com throughout the day as donations are brought to area Spartan stores from 11:00am- 7:00pm. The goal is to collect 25 tons of dry goods. All of the donations collected will stay within the community they were collected in and be distributed to area food pantries.
