Whitecaps hold first practice of season

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (WOOD) - The West Michigan Whitecaps arrived at Fifth Third Ballpark late Tuesday afternoon for the first time this year.

Their roster includes the Detroit Tigers' No. 1 draft pick, Nick Castellanos. The 19-year-old third-baseman who received a $3.45 million signing bonus for the Tigers in August will play under new Whitecaps manager Ernie Young.
