GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - It has been a West Michigan Whitecaps tradition ever since the franchise stated in 1994.

Instead of putting players up in an apartment complex, the players instead stay with a host family.

Tim and Jill Osbeck opened their house to Rob Brantly and Nick Castellanos.

Brantly was recently sent to the Lakeland Tigers, as part of the trade that sent Wilson Betemit from the Kansas City Royals to the Detroit Tigers.
