COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (WOOD) - Fifth Third Ballpark will stay Fifth Third Ballpark for the next 10 years.
The West Michigan Whitecaps announced Wednesday the bank agreed to extend its naming rights sponsorship of the ballpark for the next decade. The original deal began in 1994.
Other construction projects scheduled to be ready by the April 2012 season opener include a state-of-the-art video board, a new manually operated scoreboard, an electronic sign on US-131 and a new welcome sign.
Other plans call for flat screen TVs to be installed throughout the concourse that will show the Midwest League standings.
