DEWITT, Mich. (WOOD) - DeWitt native Jordyn Wieber has been named one of  NBC's top five Olympians to watch.

Wieber, now part of what's being called the strongest U.S. Olympic Gymnastics team in 16 years, is one of the five women who made the cut Sunday night.

She joins Gabby Douglas, Alexandra Raisman, Kyla Ross and McKayla Maroney for the Olympic team.

"I'm feeling so happy right now, I've worked so hard to get to this moment and I've imagined this since I was a little girl and just to be on that Olympic team going to London," Wieber said. "It's just an amazing feeling, I'm really happy."

You can watch Wieber and the rest of the U.S. Olympians compete on WOOD-TV8 starting July 27.
