GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - On Wednesday, Detroit Red Wings general manager Ken Holland was the featured speaker at the West Michigan Sports Commission luncheon.
Holland spoke to a packed house at the J.W. Marriott.
The luncheon is a fundraiser for the sports commission as it tries to bring sporting events to West Michigan.
As GM of the Red Wings, Holland has spent quite a bit of time here, especially scouting players on the Grand Rapids Griffins, such as Muskegon's Justin Abdelkader.
He will be a main topic of discussion for Holland when the Red Wings get together to discuss who will start the season in Hockeytown and who will sport a Griffins jersey.
