OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - The Golden State Warriors have selected Michigan State forward Draymond Green with the 35th overall pick in the second round of the NBA draft.
The Big Ten Player of the Year and first-team All-American gives Golden State another layer of toughness that the franchise wanted to add in the draft. Green finished with the most rebounds (1,096) and second-most blocks (117) in Spartans history.
The 6-foot-7, 230-pounder also follows Golden State's theme of adding size.
The Warriors took 6-foot-8 small forward Harrison Barnes of North Carolina seventh overall. Then Golden State grabbed 6-foot-11 Vanderbilt center Festus Ezeli at No. 30.
