EAST LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) - There was a time not too long ago that Tom Crean was sitting just a few chairs away from Tom Izzo on the same bench, coaching the same team towards a Big Ten title: Michigan State.

Tuesday, Crean will be back on the bench at the Breslin Center -- this time as the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers. He's revived basketball in Bloomington, but it's in East Lansing where he struggles. Crean has never won at the Breslin with Indiana.

Things this time around are a bit different. The Hoosiers are the nation's number one team and boast a lineup of four starters who average double-digit points per game.

What's not different is the battle for the Big Ten title. Crean and Izzo will both be coaching their way towards it: This time, against one another.

Both Michigan State and Indiana are tied for first with a two-game lead in the conference. Tuesday night's game will give one team sole possession of the lead in the race.

Watch the two-part video to hear Tom Izzo's Monday afternoon press conference in it's entirety.

NOTE: Indiana has lost 17 straight in East Lansing. The Spartans are 15-0 this year at home and have won 33 of their last 34 at the Breslin.
