AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Kyle Singler has signed a three-year contract with the Detroit Pistons after spending last season playing in Spain.

The Pistons drafted the 6-foot-8 Singler in the second round of last year's draft, but the lockout shortened the NBA season and the former Duke standout went overseas. He played in Spain for both Lucentum Alicante and Real Madrid, averaging 14.4 points for Lucentum Alicante and 7.9 for Real Madrid. Real Madrid reached the ACB finals before losing to Barcelona.

The Pistons announced the move Wednesday but did not disclose terms.

The Pistons also signed second-round draft pick Kim English. English, a guard from Missouri, was picked 44th overall in last month's draft. The 6-foot-6 English averaged 14.5 points per game and shot 46 percent from 3-point range in his senior season with the Tigers. He also improved to 52 percent from the field after being under 40 his first three college seasons.

The team announced the signing Thursday but did not disclose terms. English could provide backcourt depth for the Pistons behind guards Brandon Knight and Rodney Stuckey. Detroit traded guard Ben Gordon before the draft.

The Pistons also signed first-round draft pick Andre Drummond to a multiyear deal. The team announced the deal Tuesday night but did not disclose terms. Drummond, a 6-foot-10, 270-pounder from Connecticut, averaged 10 points and 7.6 rebounds last season as an 18-year-old freshman.

Drummond still has some maturing to do at the offensive end -- he shot under 30 percent from the free throw line last season -- but the Pistons may not ask him to score much, at least at first. Drummond could give Detroit somebody who can protect the rim and play alongside the more offensively polished Greg Monroe down low.
