GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - With Detroit one win away from their first World Series since 2006, Tigers fans across the state are showing their support in different ways.

Caps, jerseys, flags and face paint are prominent throughout Michigan.

The Tigers lead the New York Yankees 3-0 in the best of seven series after a thrilling  2-1 win Tuesday night.

Game 4 is tonight at Comerica Park. Max Scherzer -- who finished second in the major leagues in strikeouts behind Justin Verlander - takes the mound. The Yankees counter with their ace, CC Sabathia.

There is a free watch party for the game at Fifth Third Ballpark , the home of the West Michigan Whitecaps.

Doors open one hour before game time. There are six TVs, including two 50-inch large screens, for viewing by up to 250 fans. The game will also be shown on the center field 54-foot by 28-foot high resolution video board, if the weather allows.

First pitch is at 8:07 p.m. and the game is televised on TBS.

24 Hour News 8's Jack Doles is in Detroit and will file reports before and after the game.
