DETROIT (WOOD) - Matt Winer's audience has gotten a lot bigger in the last few decades.
He worked as a sports reporter for WOOD TV8 in the 1990s. Now, he's the studio host for TBS's MLB coverage.
"It's a big deal," he said.
The numbers agree. TBS has averaged 6.1 million viewers per ALCS game.
Winer was back in Michigan Tuesday as the Detroit Tigers took on the New York Yankees in Game 3 of the ALCS.
