GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Another Tuesday night filled with high school hoops and there was a lot going on in each game across West Michigan.

A big time battle between two of the states top teams, both hailing from Wyoming. Godwin Heights, ranked No. 2 in Class B traveled to Class D's No. 1 team Tri-Unity. As has been the case most of the year, the Defenders found themselves trailing at the half, 27-21, but climbed back in it towards the end of the game. Joey Blauwkamp hit a three-pointer with just three seconds and Tri-Unity had a chance to win, but Nick Klaassen's three-pointer went long as time expired, Heights won 60-58.

Grand Rapids Catholic Central and Ottawa Hills squared off in the start of conference play in the OK Gold, which promises to be a championship race that could go to a handful of Gold teams. Catholic Central used a big 4th quarter for a 57-51 win.

An individual story came out of Calvin Christian. Brad Visser, a 6'3'' senior, as a product of four years of hard work, passed the 1,000 point mark for his Squire career, on the way to leading Calvin Christian to a 9-0 start this season.

And what a game in Grand Haven. East Kentwood took on the Bucs and trailed by seven with just three minutes to play. The Falcons used an 18-4 run to close out the game and pull of the win 56-49.
