FENNVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - The Fennville High School boy's varsity basketball coach has resigned.
Ryan Klingler coached the Blackhawks for the past 10 years.
Fennville school officials say former assistant coach Joe Rodriquez will now lead the team.
Klingler was coaching the March 2011 game when his player Wes Leonard collapsed and later died after hitting the game-winning shot, capping an undefeated season. Wes died due to an enlarged heart.
Klingler was commended on his leadership and support for the entire Fennville community after Wes' death.
