GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Fabian Brunnstrom, who signed with the Red Wings, was sent to join the Grand Rapids Griffins to get in some much-needed ice time.
Brunnstrom spent last year in Toronto, and previously played for Texas.
During his time with Texas, he became the first rookie to ever score a hat trick in his first game.
But after he signed with the Red Wings this year, he only played on game in Detroit before being sent to Grand Rapids.
