GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - East Grand Rapids native Luke Glendening had a successful first game with the Grand Rapids Griffins Wednesday.
Glendening scored his first goal on his first shot during his first shift during a game against the Rochester Americans, according to a release from the Griffins.
He was also named the game's First Star.
The Griffins beat the Americans 4-2.
Glendening, who gradauted from East Grand Rapids High School and played with the University of Michigan, is the first ever Grand Rapids-area native to play for the Griffins. He has been with the Toledo Walleye this season.
