GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - An outdoor game between the Grand Rapids Griffins and Toronto Marlies has been rescheduled.
It was slated for Dec. 30 at Comerica Park in Detroit, as part of the 2012 Hockeytown Winter Festival. But was canceled, along with the Winter Classic between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs on Jan. 1, 2013, due to the National Hockey League lockout.
Now the Griffins-Marlies game will be played at 7 p.m. Dec. 29 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
Griffins full season ticket holders -- who did not receive a Dec. 30 ticket as part of their 2012-13 package -- will have until Nov. 25 to obtain their seats for the Dec. 29 rescheduled date by redeeming either their Bring a Friend vouchers, the flex tickets they originally received in lieu of a 38th home game at Van Andel Arena, or unused season tickets from games that have already been played.
For all other fans wanting to attend the Dec. 29 game, tickets are available through griffinshockey.com/buytickets, The Zone at Van Andel Arena, and all Star Tickets outlets at 1.800.585.3737.
All fans who purchased tickets for the Griffins' Comerica Park game, other Hockeytown Winter Festival events and the NHL Winter Classic can obtain refunds through their point of sale. Griffins customers with questions can call 616.774.4585 ext. 2.
