GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Despite having their top four point scorers out of the lineup, the Griffins scored five goals for the second straight game. This time earning a 5-3 win over the Lake Erie Monsters.
It's a different look lineup than the way it was just a month ago. The Grand Rapids Griffins have seen a handful of players make their way up the system to play with the Detroit Red Wings.
Tonight there were no signs that Gustav Nyquist, Tomas Tatar, Landon Ferraro, and Joakim Andersson weren't active on the roster. Despite the foursomes offensive power, the Griffins put up five goals, two from Mitch Callahan, to beat the Lake Erie Monsters.
