KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) - Several Grand Rapids Griffins and a former Detroit Red Wing on Tuesday helped raise some money for the Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Center.
They rang Red Kettle campaign bells while stationed at the Family Fare, 6127 Kalamazoo Ave. in Kentwood.
Griffins head coach Jeff Blashill and former Detroit Red Wing Chris Chelios raised $435.95.
Griffins assistant coach Jim Paek and Griffins analytics and advance scouting coach Spiros Anastas raised $30.45.
Forward Landon Ferraro raised $99.72.
Defenseman Brian Lashoff raised $68.75.
Goalie Tom McCollum raised $76.87.
Forward Mitch Callahan raised $72.99.
Team mascot Griff was also at the event.
The money will go toward The Salvation Army Kroc Center's programs and activities that provide life-changing spiritual, educational and wellness experiences for those in the West Michigan community.
