GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Six West Michigan high school football teams will be spending their Thanksgiving holiday weekend in Detroit this year. All five earned a trip to their respective state final games with wins Saturday afternoon. Six other local teams came up just one win shy of a trip to Ford Field.
* Division 1: After knocking off previously unbeaten and top ranked Clarkston a week ago, Rockford coming up one win short, falling to Detroit Catholic Central 35-6 Saturday afternoon in Battle Creek. The Rams finish the season at 10-3.
* Division 2: The winningest program in Michigan football history, put an end to Caledonia's cinderella season. Muskegon outlasting Caledonia 34-21 Saturday in Hudsonville. The Big Reds improve to 12-1, the Scots finish at 9-4.
* Division 3: For the first time in school history, Grand Rapids Christian is headed to the HS Football State Finals. The Eagles rolling over Dewitt 52-28 Saturday afternoon in Chelsea. Christian (12-1) will now meet Orchard Lake St. Mary (11-2) in the title game. The Eaglets eliminated Battle Creek Harper Creek 28-7 Saturday in Chelsea. The Beavers finish the season at 10-3.
* Division 4: GR South Christian will make it's long awaited return to the title game after upending previously just once beaten Comstock Park 21-7 Saturday afternoon at Houseman Field in Grand Rapids. The Panthers close out the year at 11-2, while the Sailors up their record to 10-3.
* Division 5 : West Catholic is headed to the State Finals for just the third time ever, but the second time in three years. The Falcons (10-3) won their only state championship in 2010, and return to Ford Field after edging Menominee 20-17 at the Superior Dome in Marquette. West Catholic will now meet Portland. The Raiders (12-1) knocked off Gabriel Richard 28-23 in semifinals.
* Division 6 : The Constantine Falcons posted their 11th win of the season, advancing to the finals with a 36-14 win over Monroe St. Mary CC Saturday in Battle Creek. The Falcons improve to 11-2.
* Division 8 : After knocking off defending state Mendon a week ago, Muskegon Catholic Central coming up short in the semifinals, falling to Harbor Beach 32-27 Saturday in Alma.

1:00 pm - Muskegon (12-1) vs. Birmingham Brother Rice (11-2)
4:30 pm - Constantine (11-2) vs. Ithaca (13-0)
7:30 pm - GR South Christian (10-3) vs. Detroit Country Day (11-2)
Saturday - November 24 :
4:30 pm - West Catholic (10-3) vs. Portland (12-1)
7:30 pm - GR Christian (12-1) vs. Orchard Lake St. Mary (11-2)
