KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - The coach of the women's soccer team at Western Michigan University was suspended after being cited for driving under the influence.
Mike Haines, who's coached the Broncos women's soccer program for 11 years, was involved in a rear-end collision on I-94 Friday night. No one was injured, but Haines was ticketed.
After the incident, the WMU Athletic Department suspended him until further notice. Assistant coach Susie Grech will guide the team until Haines situation is resolved.
