GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Despite wet streets and overcast skies, the nation's top cyclists took part in the third Meijer Grand Cycling Classic races through the streets of downtown Grand Rapids.
Saturday morning rain made the early parts of the race wet, but as the afternoon continued, the riders warmed up as the humidity set in.
Some of the top cyclists in the country are in town for the event, and organizers hope it will someday be looked upon with the prestige of the Fifth Third River Bank Run.
Races took place in a loop around Van Andel Arena, and continue throughout the day.
24 Hour News 8 will have updates later in the day.
