GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) -- The Michigan State
University's College of Human Medicine will be celebrating a
milestone.
The last structural beam on the building will be hoisted into
place this afternoon.
A topping off celebration will happen at 12:30 p.m. today at the construction site on Michigan Avenue.
Staff and students are honoring the approximately 150 workers that have put in time on this project with no accidents or injuries.
As part of the topping off ceremony, the beam will be adorned with an evergreen tree, an American flag, and of course, the Spartan flag.
