GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) -- Two of the people accused in the death of Jonathon Krystiniak outside the Margarita Grill early this year pled guilty Monday.
Casey Therriault and Luis Gaston pled guilty to manslaughter. The pleas came on the day jury selection was to begin in their trials.
Gaston will serve up to 2 years in prison, with the agreement that he will provide truthful testimony against the other defendants -- Ryan Simonson, Milton Lopez, Eric Freeman -- in the case. They each face second-degree murder charges.
Therriault will serve up to 17 months and the prosecution agreed to not ask for more time.
