GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - There are a number of proposals on the statewide Michigan November ballot, and an EPIC-MRA poll shows three of them have the support of a majority of voters.
All three of these proposals would amend the Michigan State Constitution.
Proposal 3 deals with renewable energy and setting higher standards for usage in the state. Of the respondents, 55% agree and 34% said no.
Proposal 4 addresses home care workers - specifically the unionization of those workers - as well as provide a qualified list of workers and further training. By a margin of 55-27%, voters approve the idea.
Proposal 5, requiring a two-thirds majority of the Michigan House and Senate to raise taxes, is favored by 53% of voters with 37% opposed.
The poll of 600 voters was taken between Sept. 8-11, 2012, and has a margin of error of 4%. It was done for WOOD TV8 and our broadcast partners.
